As the name blatantly suggests, DayViewer Beta 1, this is a beta plugin that allows you to view the day of the week. If you constantly get into time-warps like I do, then this will definitely be mighty helpful for those of you who can't keep proper track of the days (and so end up coming to work on weekends).

It seems things have slowed down in the PSP homebrew scene this week, but that doesn't mean we didn't get to see any new apps and games. The games side was overshadowed by app releases during the past week so I'm just gonna scrunch them together into one list full of homebrew goodness. List up ahead!

Torch is back with an update for his PSP homebrew battery-saving plugin, Hold+. This release is more of a clean-up version, with some improvements to help prevent those accidental results of pushing the power switch for too long.

Again, Torch has released a new pack compiling his Lockdown homebrew projects. As with the previous pack, this one puts together Lockdown , Lockdown In-Game, and Lockdown XMB Style in one nice little bundle of security.

Update already? It was only yesterday when BafS released this piece of dev work, now it just got an update courtesy of fabiens. This app turns into your PSP into a torch, not literally thank goodness, and the light comes in green, red, or blue.

A couple of days ago, reports of some PSP games messing with files in the ms0:/seplugins and ms0:/iso folders came to light. In response, homebrew developer Torch released CFW Folder Blocker, a plugin that hides these folders in GAME mode so they couldn't be accessed. That release also affected homebrew apps. This release fixes that problem.

Homebrew dev Torch currently has three different versions of Lockdown. The first one allows you to password-protect your PSP in the recovery menu, the second one is the same only it can use the XMB Wave as its background, and the third one allows you to lockdown your PSP in-game. Torch's battery saver plugin for the PSP is back with a much-needed update. This latest version incorporates Torch's very own Fast Scroll Music plugin, as well as a fix on v3.5's 5th level brightness feature.
