Sony Computer Entertainment Canada Holiday Preview Event details - Image 1 Sony Computer Entertainment Canada Holiday Preview Event details - Image 2

On the PlayStation Blog, Public Relations Specialist for Sony Computer Entertainment Canada Kyle Moffatt posted an article detailing the happenings in the recent Holiday Preview Event they hosted in Downtown Toronto. According to her, members of the Canadian media got to try out various games slated to be released this holiday season and early next year.

Sony-published games for the PlayStation 2, Playstation 3, and PlayStation Portable were made playable such as Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, God of War: Chains of Olympus, and Buzz!: The Mega Quiz. Third party developers like Ubisoft, EA, Activision, D3, THQ, LucasArts, Rockstar, 2K Sports, Capcom, and Sega also participated by putting up demos for some of their games. Here are some of the more notable titles they featured:
This event pretty much shows that Sony has a strong line-up of PS3 games in the next few months. We can only wait and see if this further strengthens the company's position in the ongoing console wars.

Rockstar updates official Manhunt 2 website - Image 1It's kind of redundant to use the words deranged and Manhunt in the same sentence. Fans of the video game franchise know well that the title describes best that particular state of mind, not to mention violence and gore.

Anyway, Rockstar Games has just updated the official Manhunt 2 website to acquaint people more with the new title's psychotic nature. Even though the release of the game for all platforms (Wii, PS2, PSP) is almost upon us, Manhunt 2's background story is still as elusive as ever.

We only know that some experiment at a secret research facility has gone catastrophically wrong. After six years, main protagonist Daniel Lamb suddenly found himself locked up in Dixmor Asylum with no memory of how he got there.

We can say that the official website is kind of a preview of how it feels to be inside that asylum. It contains the latest trailer videos we shared with you and some of the more recent screenshots. There are also some creepy, freaky voice recordings that are sure to keep you awake all night.

The Wii version of Manhunt 2 is being handled by Rockstar's subsidiary in Toronto while the PSP version is under the skillful hands of Rockstar Leeds. The Read link should take you to the video game's updated official site.

The Warriors UK packshot - Image 1While the PSP version of The Warriors is already out in stores, there are still some gamers out there who have yet to decide whether or not to spend money on this title. Hopefully, these new screenshots will help you decide. Oh, and check out the UK packshot for the game, too. It's on the right.

This collaborative effort from Rockstar Leeds and Rockstar Toronto brings The Warriors to the Sony PSP. Based on the 1979 Paramount film of the same name, this M-rated title takes players from one end of New York to the other as they fight to stay alive. It's not going to be a cakewalk, too - all that stands between The Warriors (that's you) and survival are 20 miles and thousands of street gang members.

With everybody and their mother gunning after you, there's really no turning back. All you can do is brace yourself for some righteous ass-kicking in this
free-roaming beat 'em up extravaganza.

The rest of the screens await after the jump!

Manhunt PS2 packshot - Image 1Rockstar Games (the guys who brought us the GTA series and The Warriors, to name a few) is proud to announce that their newly formed Rockstar London studio is currently working on a new title soon to head to your PSPs and Wiis.

The London studio, in collaboration with Rockstar North, is cooking up Manhunt 2, the sequel to the stealth action-slash-horror game that previously appeared on the Xbox and PS2. So if you enjoyed all the blood and gore of Manhunt, you might wanna watch out for this upcoming sequel too.

No further info about the sequel was divulged, but we do know that the Wii version is currently cooking in Rockstar Toronto's labs, and that both the PSP and Wii versions of Manhunt 2 will be available this summer. Manhunt 2 will also be heading to the PS2, so stay tuned for more updates.
