Bruno - Image 1Just like a PSN video content update, folks in Europe will be treated to a lineup of movies soon to be available for download. Unlike the usual Video Store update for the US PSN, however, these titles are pretty recent. How recent? Like Bruno recent.

PSP Go - Image 1 Like with what the UK stores did last week, Amazon slashed off US$ 5 to the PSP Go. Looks like although the launch of Sony's UMD-less handheld led the PSP sales to skyrocket the past couple of weeks, the retailer does not have enough confidence that it will be able to sustain it, hence their own price cut.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1The PSP Go remains a hot item this week. Nasayers still think it's going to fall flat on its non-face. Sony, for their part, is busy touting it as a success, throwing out some impressive -- yet ultimately still unsubstantiated -- sales numbers. While the "go or no go" tug of war is happening, unscrupulous types are capitalizing on the new handheld by releasing their own thinly-veiled knock off version. All that and more in the PSP Weekend Warrior.

PSP Go - Image 1Looks like the retailers over at UK are deliberately disobeying Sony's set price points for PSPGo. Eurogamer is reporting that Amazon.co.uk, Play, GAME, and HMV have all dropped their prices for the newest Sony handheld, from £224.99 (US$ 359) to £199.99 (US$ 319).

PSP Go - Image 1Despite lots of skepticism and disinterest surrounding the new model, Sony is proud to reveal that PSP Go sales have met expectations. Believe it or not, the PSP Go has helped PSP hardware sales to shoot up 120% since its launch on October 1st.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1We're less that two weeks away from the PSP Go's launch but it looks like people are still very divided over it. It's not just the gamers too -- even retailers are torn. Some have predicted its failure while a few have even outright opposed the handheld and Sony's download-only model for it. Sony, on the other hand, seems all set to follow through not only with the Go, but with the PSP brand as a whole, as rumors (and history, really) suggest that there are more hardware iterations in the pipeline. That and more at the PSP Weekend Warrior.

PSP Go - Image 1 It seems that Nedgame's open opposition of the PSP Go and Sony's digital download model has stirred up quite an issue. Igor Cipolletta, boss of UK retailer ShopTo, has also expressed doubts about the PSP Go's success, reckoning that the handheld is already "dead before it has arrived." Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter, on the other hand, thinks that these retailer are being foolish, silly, and just plain ridiculous.
