PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1The PSP Go, which Sony is apparently banking on to stop the rampant piracy on their handheld system, isn't even here yet but talk about another PSP revision is starting up again. These rumors never really stop, do they? At least the week also saw a few more big-name updates: a pair of bundles for Gran Turismo, a tighter release window for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, and what's this? Sibling rivalry between the Rising and Peace Walker teams?

Gran Turismo - Image 1The UK isn't getting left behind when it comes to Gran Turismo's PSP version. In addition to the PSP Go freebie announced for PAL territories during GamesCom, Sony will also be releasing a Gran Turismo PSP hardware bundle in the UK.

GamesCom 2009 - Image 1 By now every Sony watcher knows that they've booked three hours for their conference at next week's GamesCom event in Cologne. As it turns out, though, the guys from Sony won't be spending all of that time talking on stage and showing off whatever new stuff they've brought along. In fact, the conference itself will only last for just over an hour.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1While official firmware 5.55 is presenting concerns for the PSP homebrew community, retailers are likewise being wary of the upcoming PSP Go. This week, more retailers from the UK expressed their doubts about the Go's download-only model as well as the handheld's rumored high price tag. We also heard from Dissidia producer Takeshi Arakawa who said "cultural differences" led to some of the changes in the game, most notably the tutorial length. Rock Band - Image 1 The Gorillaz will be headlining next week's Rock Band update with three songs being made available as DLC for the game's PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. The Wii version is also getting its own update in the form of eleven tracks taken from the Rock Band back catalog, while Rock Band Unplugged will play host to a pair of new Iron Maiden songs.
