Right now, we're calling this little piece of info from vodkkaa and P8ntballinfrk a rumor, but you know we wish it was true. According to the site they tipped us off to, the OE version of the 3.30 firmware might very well be coming at midnight. PSP-Generation writes that with the assistance of Mathieulh, Dark_Alex was able to finish coding the 3.30 OE firmware. All that needs be done is to add an automatic installer, and we should have it online very soon. Of course, we're not sure which "midnight" PSP-Gen is referring to, since the time zones will evidently mess this up. Still, it's definitely big news, and we'll keep you posted on the latest happenings on it here and keep this updated with the latest information on the fabled 3.30 OE firmware. Till then, be patient. UPDATE: Well, here's some confirmation of the PSP running 3.30 OE Firmware. PSP Gen now has a video up showing the update process in action. The only thing of note in the vid, for those skeptics, is the fact that a cut occurs in the middle of the video. Using translation services, we were able to get this explanation from the people at PSP Gen: You will undoubtedly notice that there is a cut in the middle of video. As the installer is not made yet, it was thus necessary to intervene on the level of the flash manually. This operation not being interesting, since provisional, thus was voluntarily cut to the assembly. |

In your opinion, what PlayStation Portable (PSP) plugin is the most useful? Whatever your answer is, we're pretty certain that will be debatable depending on our needs. To each his own, or so they say. But to homebrew coder vodkkaa, it's the one that concerns the handheld's USB function.Haven't heard of such plugin? Well, there isn't exactly one that's why the coder created the USBon Plugin. The name of the application is pretty much self-explanatory. With this plugin, you will never have to go to Settings then activate the USB mass storage function as you can do that by giving the right shoulder button a quick press. Some other features of this include:
Flashing any kind of file to your PSP runs the risk of bricking. Read the accompanying Readme file for more details and instructions. Download: USBon Plugin (for 3.03 OE and 3.10 OE) View: QJ PSP Development Forum |
