If there is one thing that we love about portable bundles, it's the freebies. Now, if you happen to make frequent purchases over at GAME UK's online retail store, then you may want to take advantage of this new deal starting February 9.

PSP/DS skin manufacture Wrapstar is happy to announce that if you purchase either a PSP or DS unit from GAME, Wrapstar will provide you with a free pink skin to go with your new console - just in time for Valentine's Day.

In line with this, GAME will also be launching the rest of Wrapstar's collection of custom PSP/DS skins on their site, which some of you may have seen before here.

Update: Just in time to lend added publicity to their Valentine's promo for DS and PSP, Wrapstar has added a new PSP skin. Called Pulse, the new skin is going to be available next week, February 23, for a suggested retail price of £ 4.99 or roughly somewhere around US$ 9.70.

Wrapstar's PSP and DS skins are selling in GAME stores throughout Europe and Scandinavia. North American and Australian readers can get them from Amazon.co.uk (Amazon ships all over the world).

PSP Galaxy #16

Now that Thanksgiving is over, we're sure that a lot of you are already gearing up for Christmas. Even though it's the season of joy and, err, joyness, one can't help but feel defeated every time you have to take arms against the whole vanguard of the Christmas shoppers. Dude, they're like droves of pigeons flocking to tourists throwing out some bread crumbs at the park.

Anyways, that's why you've got to prepare yourself. You'd want to make sure that your time in the stores don't exceed critical time levels. Go in, get what you want, go to the counter, pay, leave. No time for dilly-dallying, no time for mulling over what you want to get for yourself or your family and friends.

Sponsored by Play-Asia, PSP Galaxy Issue #16 just came out so, at this point, you might want to take a look at their reviews. More than their usual PSP comic, news, and rants, they're also featuring the following:

PSP and NDS skins - Image 1PSP and NDS skins - Image 2

Some people just have a fascination with skin. No, not in the perverted sense, but with regards to "looking different". Why does the Human Torch look cool hot? Because his skin is covered in flames. What makes Mystique stand out (and blend in at the same time)? Because she has blue skin/scales that let her morph. The Wicked Witch of the West is green. The Red Skull is red. The Simpsons are yellow. See? Skin!

Now who here doesn't want to customize their skin? No, not your skin, but that of your handheld! It's all about personality, right? You'd want to be sure that your own PSP or DS is identifiable from afar and you're able to distinguish it from those of your friends'.

Wrapstar is taking the lead in the whole skin-customizability race once again, and they're wrapping up for this coming Christmas. They're releasing a line of skins for your DS,NDS Lite, and PSP. Their products give you three benefits: 1) to express yourself and give your handheld some personality, 2) protect it from any minor scratches, and 3) it doesn't leave any trace or adhesive residue when you remove it from your device.

The pre-cut skins are available for £ 4.99 (around US$ 6.46). The PSP has Bling (pic above), Brushed Silver, Baby Pink, Red Explosion and Yellow Brightness. The NDS has Dalmation, Solid Yellow, Hot Rod, Spider Web (pic above) and Love Hearts, while the DS Lite has Dalmation, Wood Camo, Candy, Japan, Max Volume, Puppy Love 2, Rage, Union Jack, Urban Angel and Yellow Brilliance.

Some things just refuse to die, says the team behind PSP Galaxy magazine. Actually, good things are kinda hard to kill. If you're a PSP Galaxy fan, take heart. The magazine is alive, kicking and has just released their 15th issue. In this latest issue of PSP Galaxy magazine, you can read up on the following:

PSP Galaxy Issue No.15 is also the first issue for the magazine's new graphic designer Evilution. We've seen his work and he's pretty good. Why would any one kill such a great magazine in the first place, anyway?

Wrapstar

The London-based company Wrapstar is issuing a call to all creative souls out there since they are launching a competition. The creator of the most innovative PSP skin design will walk away with a free PSP, which will bear the winning design, as well as two game titles to play on it.

Wrapstar is known for manufacturing protective and decorative vinyl skins for PSP and NDS units, as well as other gadgets and game consoles. These skins are of the adhesive type and can be removed easily without leaving glue marks.

The closing date of the competition is on November 1, 2006. The winner will be announced on the Wrapstar website by November 10, so better get started on that drawing board.
