The PSP Omelette

The Japanese love their food. The Japanese also love their PSPs. Sometimes though, both areas overlap each other and the distinctions get blurry. Someone apparently loves both omelettes and their PSP so much that they decided to put two and two together. Hence, the PSP omelette.

The story goes that the person whose PSP's display got broken decided to earn some money from it and post it up for bids at Yahoo! Auction. The catch: it's going to be cooked. Talk about entrepreneurship. The PSP omelette is cooked with seaweed for some extra flavor, a dash of sugar for sweetness, and lots of tender loving care.

This resourceful cook also mentioned that a kid would be happy to find a PSP omelette inside his or her lunchbox and not worry because the battery and memory stick have been removed. Err, riiight...

Anyways, in a span of about three short days, the auction is now finished and was finally tagged with a price of 10,166 Yen (roughly around US $ 100). Y'know, after all this, there's only one thing on our minds. You know what they say: You can't make an omelette without breaking bricking a PSP.

Plus you can connect to your PSP (do not mistake for YourPSP) with a single click of a button. PSP bliss is within reach.

You'll need to have the Yahoo! Widget Engine installed in your computer to get this to work. The download link for Windows and Mac OS are available at the bottom of the article. Here's what Durka Durka Mahn has to say about his creation.

"It's small, convenient, and best of all, you can move it where you want it, lock it, and make it hover over all the other windows, so you can click on it whilst doing anything! Then hide it when you need to. Not only is it convenient, but it looks really cool, too!"

EEE Rankings

After releasing the trial version of Every Extend Extra for the PC, the numbers are in. Those who have downloaded and played the game can now view how their skills fared compared to other players all over the world through EEE's official website. You can view the the top 20, 50 and 100 of the game's various sponsors like Yahoo! Games, Tsutaya Online and Gpara.com among others. The top ranking players get to win an iPod Nano, Beams T, a copy of Lumines and a PSP.

The success of their trial version ranking has convinced Q Entertainment to have a, according to Babelfish's translation, "product edition" ranking. So far, they still don't have any plans on the method of how to rank the players. One option was to take screenshots and submit it via email. The only drawback is that there would be millions, maybe even gazillions, of entries coming in, and sorting them out would be a pain in the neck.

And on a musical side note, one of Er's contributing artists, USCUS, has released their 2nd album entitled Mentarhythm under the Anoyo label. You can hear samples of their album tracks over at Wakyo Webshop before purchasing. It is priced a ¥2300 or $19.95 USD.
