While most of the coders out there work within the same circles, one of
them seems to be standing on the outside, causing his own storm of
sorts. External from most of the drama,
StrmnNrmn is happily living in his own world, giving us one of
the greatest homebrew emulator projects for the PSP: the Nintendo 64
emulator, Deadalus PSP. As a tribute to Daedalus' third year anniversary this month, here's your
QuickGuide for reminiscing (or catching up!) on the life and times of
StrmnNrmn so far. Strap into your seats, we're heading into the eye of
the storm! |

There's been quite a handful of homebrew Legend of Zelda clones for the PSP before, and here comes a new one: Zelda: The Return from French PSP coder, Darksidious (same guy who did MakeFile Maker!). This release is just a demo for the full game - a Lua-coded game at that - and it involves another quest to save Princess Zelda.Download: Zelda: The Return demo v0.0.1 |

Kreationz of the Daedalusx64 project has released the changelog of the program's latest build, and it looks like a pretty hefty update! The PSP N64 emulator now has TV out support, increased audio buffers, and a number of fixes.Watch a comparison vid of the R13 release against the x64 release after the link! A big thanks to Penpvdbs for the tip! |

Sounds like a dream? Shinydude100 at the Daedalus X64 forums is confident that he can run Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time at over 25fps. He's not giving any further details just yet, but he's got plans underway and we'd love to see him succeed. |

N64 emulator for PSP">Daedalus
ain't dead yet! I'm sure a lot of you guys (myself included, actually)
have been wondering what's been cooking for the PSP's all-time fave
Nintendo 64 emulator, so here's some good news for you. A couple of Daedalus fans got together to help
get the N64 emulator project going - they want to help the community by picking up where StrmnNrmn left off. And so starts the DaedalusX64 project. |
