Rapid Dump v0.2

'Twas around one week ago since we last heard from French homebrewer Zouzzz. According to him, in French of course, he'd be creating dumps for F0 entirely in 1x, and another one for F1 entirely in 1X and UMD. It seems he isn't quite finished with all those yet so instead, Zouzzz gave his Rapid Dump release an update.

Now in v0.2, Rapid Dump for PSP fw 1.5 comes in with a two yet important modifications. First up, there is now an addition of the total dump of the flash0: /. The first version allowed for plug-ins opening_plugin.rco, gameboot.pmf and topmenu_plugin.rco. All files will then be found on the file dump of the root of the memory stick.

Probably more of an accessory than a mod, a sound now plays at the end of every dump. At the very least, this could serve as an alert in case you're busy and weren't able to notice that the dump is over. Oh well, here at QJ, we are all for any homebrews and any modifications, be it big or small.

FrenchTouchFrenchTouch members - a bunch of French PSP enthusiasts - have created their own LUA games and have released these games in a pack.

FrenchTouch has released these games in its noble attempt at collecting gifts to raise funds for AIDS research. According to the site, this has also been done so that players will be aware about the fight against this disease.

PSP websites who have contributed to any AIDS research websites have their banners on some of the homebrew games to show that they have given gifts to said research sites.

Here now is the list of games created by FrenchTouch members:

SudokuSudoku v0.9c by Arobase - This popular game (also known as Number Place) uses numbers 1 to 9  which will be placed in a cell of a grid. Each column, region, or row should contain only one instance of every number.

Move Your Flower by zouzzz - This is a dancing game (move your flower, get it?) wherein players will only have to keep pushing the key being displayed to "make the flower move."

GTAGTA: Driving Forward by Maxime - The only goal of this game is to drive forward for as long and as fast as the player can using the analog stick or the D-pad to avoid the other cars.

Dangerous Rise by Lua-user - Players will only have to avoid rocks and catch balls in  this "Avalaunch" type game. The background, menu and difficulty settings can be chosen.

Halo: Spatial CombatS: Guilty Spark Invasion by Seb117 - The original game from which this was based on, Space Rocks, was created by Xigency. Players will only have to shoot at every Guilty Sparks to pass the level.
Mario
Mario: Operation espace by Bibi595 - This game is also based on the original Xigency game, Space Rock. The idea is basically the same as the other shooter game in this pack. Players must shoot every single mushroom to pass the level.

Luamines

Here's an updated version of Dragula96's homebrew game for the PSP, Luamines, version 0.04 alpha. This version is exactly the same as the last release, version 0.04, but comes packaged as a standalone 1.5 EBOOT, meaning that Luaplayer is not required, and you can launch the game directly from the PSP's XMB.

You can enjoy this bug-free version as a standalone EBOOT with all of the version 0.04 updates as follows:
  • Optimized code for speed (reduced scan cycles). As a result game runs smoother and music plays way better.
  • Rewrote scanline animation, scan line now moves smoothly across the screen.
  • Fixed rotation buttons (now piece only rotates once per button press).
  • Added high score keeping.
  • Added high score and level display in hud.
  • Added intro screen ;)
The credit for making Luamines into a 1.5 EBOOT goes to Zouzzz!

NOTE: This is for 1.5 users only.
