 » Team Viper?

That looks very similar to the Viper Extreme box imo, same usb cable, Actel chips and antistatic bag with printed logo too.

Could Team Viper be behind this or an I just reading too far into nothing? :P

 » sad...

thats really sad how you appreciate the box more than UP itself... quite funny too... you guys were the kids who were more excited playing with the brown corrugated card box than the toys that came in them at christmas. haha

anyone have a release date, i am wondering why the team themselves have not come forward and started threads for us all to read???

DMS (aka Sjeep/HDLoader creator) made the viper, probably this too.

BTW: most people who are reselling it WONT be sending the box. They gouge you on the chip and the shipping, and then try and save a buck or two with the shipper by tossing it.

For that price, the box better be included! i could use it to cage the chirpy crickets crawlin around the house!

 » WTF?

Why the ***** did they make the box so large when the items in it only fill up about a thrid of it. Waist of space and shipping cost (even though its like 10 cents more :P ). Other than that it looks great. One thing that I don't see included is a short pamlet on installation :( . Maybe it'll be online along with the software.

OMG! Look at the size of that soldering aid tool. It looks so much bigger in the installation diagrams released yesterday!

Since I have an original fw1.5 and a fw2.6 PSP, I'm happy I don't have to try to cram one of those inside to get dual firmware benefits. My used 2.6 PSP cost less than that mod chip and I don't have to risk f***ing it up. Some people say it's stupid owning 2 PSP's. Who's laughing now?

 » skinny box

i dont know what you guys are barking about, it's a skinny box

other than that, this seems like a major gouge for your money

 » damn this is awesome

If i can find a super cheap psp thats compatible i'll totally buy this and try soldering. So anyways when are these supposed to start shipping? If they already being shipped I hope someone who gets one shares their experience and tells us how it is.

 » Owning 2 PSPs is cool (@20)

Yes, if somebody can't mount the modchip himself, it is too expensive. And buying a moded PSP is also expensive. It's cheaper to buy a second hand 1,5 psp... I also own 2 psps, one with 1,5 firmware, the other with 2,5. And it's very cool to own 2 PSPs. The modchip could be cool to run firmware 1,0 but can the chip do this? I read, the modchip will be delivered with firmware 1,5 on it???

it is an alternative to the eloader. do you even know what this is? and yes it will allow ISO's to be ran on the psp

   by Chainsaw (Unregistered) - 2006-06-22
 » PS:

PS: I have nothing against the modchip, it is very cool. But I don't need it, because I have a 1,5 psp... But I'm afraid that new games won't run with the modchip... Sony will block it !!! And new firmware versions will be protected, that they check if there is a modchip and won't run, or can't be installed on the Modchip-Flash... What do you think???
