Yay for yPaint! - Image 1

Yongobongo is back with another iteration of his yPaint image editing application for PSP, which is now on version 5.00 Beta. He's added a lot of things to this one, so people using the previous version may want to try it out:
  • Added Fuzzie 360's Keyboard Library
  • Added Text Tool
  • Added USB Connection
  • GUI Revamp
  • Added Scrolling Feature
  • Added Ability to save and load images of PNG or JPG format with dimensions of 512x512 or less
  • Added ability to change which folder to save/load from
  • Added Ability to change opacity level
  • Added Ability to choose canvas size
  • Added Ability to use your own custom made brushes
  • Added Circle (Ellipse) Tool
  • Added New Load screen
  • Minor Bug fixes that caused program to crash
  • Added USB Support
  • Added Font Support
  • Added Font Size Support
  • Added Fill Bucket
  • Added 'Photoshare' IR based Image-Sharing Application
  • Added cursor x,y positions on screen
He does remind users to make sure that they don't load pictures above 512x512 pixels, else you could end up crashing the program with your file. In addition, he also notes that "Custom firmware users may have to patch the Eboot if it is not launching as it is in K-Xploit format."

Lastly, he's also put up a contest for people to win more QJ Points on our forums. His call for excellent photoshoppery writes, "Also, i am offering 200,000 QJ forum points for the best yPaint theme! It can be anything, even based off Paint or Photoshop or something." All you have to do is visit the forum link below and post a screenshot of your theme to join. Enjoy the app, and don't forget to check the readme, alright?!

Hrm... looks pretty good from the screenshot. I haven't used any other paint apps other than pspaint (flash) and this looks like it has (a lot) more features than pspaint.

HEY THIS IS MUCH BETTER THAN CRAP NPAINT!!

JUST A SUGGESTION TO GET A DECENT PAINT PROGRAM FAST ON THE PSP!!!

GIMP, KRITA, BLENDER, IMAGEMAGICK, XV, XARA AND MANY OTHERS ARE OPEN SOURCE.

PLEASE JUST CUT AND PASTE THE CODE TO MAKE A POWERFUL PAINT PROGRAM. YOU DON'T NEED TO REINVENT THE WHEEL LIKE NPAINT AND BRUSHES LOOSERS!!!

PLEASE HURRY.... THANKS!!!
